What makes the Yubashiri different from Zoro's other swords?
Updated Feb 2026
In the One Piece storyline, the Yubashiri is classified as a Skillful Grade (Ryowazamono) blade, one tier below the Great Grade swords like Shusui and Wado Ichimonji. Its defining trait is lightness — Zoro himself noted that the sword felt almost weightless, which allowed faster draw and strike sequences. Visually, the Yubashiri is distinguished by its black-and-gold scabbard and a relatively simple, rounded tsuba. Our replica reflects these characteristics with a 1045 carbon steel blade that balances durability with a slimmer profile, gold-accented fittings, and a lacquered saya finished in the iconic black-gold color scheme seen in the anime.
