Can a three-tier stand hold swords of different lengths?
Updated Mar 2026
Yes. The three-tier models in this collection are designed with enough horizontal span to accommodate katana, wakizashi, and tanto simultaneously, making them a practical choice for displaying a complete daisho set with a companion short blade. The spacing between tiers is calibrated so that the tsuba (hand guard) of a longer blade does not obstruct the saya of the piece displayed on the tier below. That said, very long nodachi or nagamaki would exceed the cradle width of standard tabletop models, so those longer-format pieces are better suited to a dedicated floor-standing vertical display stand, which is also available in this collection.
