Are these stainless steel swords full tang?

 Updated Feb 2026

Many pieces in this collection feature a full-tang construction, meaning the steel extends the entire length of the handle and is secured with mekugi pegs, exactly as traditional Japanese swords were assembled. Full-tang construction gives the sword a balanced, solid feel when you lift it, which matters for display presence and handling during casual examination. You can check individual product listings for tang specifications, but as a general rule our katana and ninjato models are built full tang, while certain tanto replicas use a shorter tang appropriate to their compact design. In every case, the tang is fitted tightly to the tsuka with no rattle or play.
