What makes the Kikoku different from a standard katana replica?
Updated Feb 2026
The Kikoku is modeled after a nodachi rather than a katana, which means it has a significantly longer blade — historically, nodachi blades exceeded 90 cm, compared to roughly 60–73 cm for a katana. In the anime, Trafalgar Law carries the Kikoku slung across his back precisely because of this exaggerated length. Our replicas preserve that dramatic profile with a proportionally longer blade and handle. The tsuba also departs from conventional round or oval guards, instead featuring the signature cross-shaped design unique to Law's sword. These differences make the Kikoku an eye-catching contrast piece next to traditional katana-style replicas in any display.
