Black real rayskin underlies the dark red and white ito wrap, providing grip texture beneath the binding. The wrap pattern follows a traditional diagonal layout, and the kashira and fuchi fittings carry matching decorative detailing that ties the handle to the broader koshirae design.

The tsuba is cast from alloy in a chrysanthemum silhouette - a scalloped, petal-edged form with white and gold surface tones. The face of the guard features textured relief work with copper and brass accent areas visible at the center. The openwork cutouts on the upper lobes are a defining visual element of this piece, giving the guard an open, layered appearance distinct from solid disc-style guards.

The saya is shaped from hardwood and finished in a matte dark red and white lacquer scheme at 29.92 in.
