T10 Carbon Steel Red Katana with Dragon Engraving, Flower Tsuba & Red Lacquer Saya

The blade on this katana is forged from T10 carbon steel and hand-finished to a bright chrome polish. A real hamon line runs the length of the edge, and a detailed dragon engraving decorates the flat of the blade near the habaki - a visual element that sets this piece apart from plain-finish replicas. The full-tang construction keeps the blade firmly anchored through the handle for a solid, well-balanced feel.

The tsuka is built over white ray-skin (samegawa) wrapped in red cotton ito cord in a classic diamond pattern. Gold-tone menuki fittings are set beneath the wrap, visible through the open diamonds, while a matching red kashira caps the butt end. The handle assembly follows traditional koshirae style throughout.

The tsuba is one of the most detailed elements of this build. Cast in a dark oxidized finish, it features a carved floral relief with raised gold flower accents - a flower-theme design that balances the bold red color scheme with refined metalwork detail. The seppa on either side maintain clean alignment between tsuba and blade.

The saya is crafted from hardwood and finished in deep red piano lacquer, producing a high-gloss surface with noticeable depth. A dragon motif is painted near the koiguchi opening, echoing the blade engraving. A black sageo cord with a red bead accent ties at the kurikata, completing the red-and-black visual contrast.
