Manganese Steel Katana with Tiger Tsuba, Black-Red Handle & Phoenix Saya

The blade is forged from manganese steel and finished with a chrome polish that brings out a clean mirror surface across the flat. A wavy hamon line traces the entire cutting edge, created during the finishing process to replicate the temper line found on traditionally made nihonto. The tsuka is built over the full tang with a black ito cord woven in a traditional diamond pattern directly over red PU samegawa. The contrast between the black wrap and the red underlayer creates a sharp two-tone look at each opening. The handle proportions follow standard katana koshirae sizing, balancing the 40.5-inch overall length at 3.2 lb.

The bronze tsuba is cast with a detailed tiger relief design across its face and fitted with a rose-gold outer rim, visible in the cross-section. A gold-tone habaki collar seats flush at the base of the blade, locking the tsuba in place and bridging the transition from blade to handle cleanly.

The black hardwood lacquer saya is one of the most visually distinctive elements of this piece. Three gold-tone phoenix ornamental fittings are positioned along the saya body - each one individually attached and featuring open filigree detailing that catches light from multiple angles. A black-and-white braided sageo is tied at the kurigata, completing the All Black Katana aesthetic with a deliberate contrast accent.
