Why is the surface of the blade smeared with oil? Can I remove the lubricating oil?
The purpose of using oil to maintain the blade is to form an oil film on the surface to isolate oxygen and moisture, preventing rust. You can remove the oil for display, but we recommend reapplying it regularly to protect the blade.
